Jia Jing

Hi, I'm Jia Jing!

Multi MDRT Achiever · Financial Advisor · Student Career Mentor

Not everyone dreams of becoming a financial consultant. And honestly, not every student has their future figured out either. Some people are simply looking for a career where their income reflects their effort, where they have more control over their time, and where the work they do genuinely impacts others.

Over the past 6 years, I've built a practice serving over 300 clients while qualifying for multiple MDRTs. More importantly, I've learned that success in this industry isn't about having the perfect background - it's about being willing to learn, work hard, and continuously improve.

That's why I'm passionate about mentoring students and young aspiring professionals who are curious about the industry but don't know where to begin. Whether you're looking for an internship, a graduate role, or simply exploring your options, I'm happy to share my journey, answer your questions, and help you decide if this career is the right fit for you.

If you're unsure about your next step, exploring different career paths, or wondering if there's more beyond the traditional 9-to-5, I'd love to show you what financial advisory is really about, beyond the stereotypes.

What University Students Say

★★★★★
"I booked the call because I was curious, but also quite skeptical tbh. JJ didn’t give me some speech, which I really appreciated. She explained what the process of exploring this while studying actually looks like, what the hard parts are, and what kind of student should probably not choose this path."

"I’m from engineering, so I wasn’t sure whether this line of work would even make sense for me. JJ broke it down in a very practical way: the credentials, the learning curve, the client conversations, and the kind of mindset required. So speaking to her definitely gave me more clarity before exploring this!"

★★★★★
"I was comparing a few graduate paths so I didn’t want another vague career talk kinda thing. But JJ was direct about the upside potential & also honest about the ambition and self-discipline needed to really succeed in this line. Really helped me to assess it properly rather than just chasing income numbers only. Thank you JJ!!"

Everything You're Wondering

No. Students from many backgrounds explore financial advisory, including business, engineering, social sciences, communications, and more. What matters more is whether you can learn quickly, communicate well, and handle something with more independence than a typical part time job or internship.

It's a 15-minute conversation, no sales pitching. I will ask about your current situation, what you're considering during/after university, and answer your questions about what financial advisory actually involves.

This is for students in all years of Uni. Students in earlier years can use the calls to understand whether this is a path worth pursuing alongside finishing their degree, just as I did! Final year students can also attend to consider this as a career path after grad.

I will typically follow up within the same business day via WhatsApp to help set up your call!
